Karin Kusano is proudly a single mother of 4. She is also a digital asset strategist and policy speaker recognized for her expertise at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation.
With a love for all things trading, fintech and Web3, she has advised decentralized exchanges (DEXs), on-chain agentic AI trading firms, Bitcoin hash rate funds, and is currently launching an AI startup of her own. Her work spans both institutional trading and frontier innovation, positioning her as a bridge between traditional finance and the emerging digital economy.
She was honored at the Nasdaq Closing Bell as one of the first female crypto traders — recognition not only for her trading success, but also for her commitment to reinvesting her profits. Karin donated portions of her trading gains to women founders in need of critical runway support and provided microloans in crypto to women in developing countries, helping them access opportunity through financial inclusion.
In 2025, Karin was invited to speak before central bankers, lawmakers, and policymakers at the American Innovation Project at Jackson Hole Wyoming. Where she addressed the role of blockchain in advancing financial sovereignty and inclusion.
She is also the founder of FAFA.Foundation (Fintech Against Financial Abuse), a nonprofit initiative dedicated to using blockchain and fintech innovation to protect survivors of financial abuse and create safer, more equitable financial systems.
Her career is defined by a commitment to advocacy for the unbanked, advising innovators, and advancing technologies that expand both economic opportunity and human resilience.
